This being said, there are also other interesting thing about the HORROCKS surname.  Things like the origins of the surname, how many there are of us in the world, where we live, what our migration patters are, etc.

In the "Research Help" portion of this website I have extracted all the HORROCKS from the USA and British Census.  Most interesting is when you do a statistical analysis of these listings.  The census details are broken down as:

Details - Each census year includes compilations of:

  1. The different ways the HORROCKS name has been 'transcribed'
  2. The birthplaces for each person
  3. The state (USA) or county (British) that each person lived
  4. The city where each person lived
  5. The relationship between all household members
  6. The ages of those listed
  7. The most popular first names

The census Summaries combine the census details shown in the details and show them side by side in table format.  These include:

  1. Birth Locations
  2. How many HORROCKS were in each county or state
  3. How many HORROCKS were in each city
  4. Their ages
  5. Their first names
  6. Their family relationships
  7. The different ways the HORROCKS surname was transcribed

If you are a 'numbers' person, this information will tell you a lot.  All files are in PDF format.
